The Rankings
Four restaurant guides and their awards are used to calculate the Volkenborn rankings. The awards are converted into points which are then transformed into something like the French schools' grading system. Due to the varying methods used when allocating the 'grades' the guides are given a different weighting each year.
Theoretically in 2008 only a maximum of 79.7 points could be achieved.
